A laundry with a van, not an app with a laundry.
We wash everything ourselves, in our own plant in Bermondsey, with people we employ. Nothing is subcontracted to whoever is cheapest that week.
Londry started in 2019 with one machine, one van and a spreadsheet. The founders had both spent years watching perfectly good clothes get ruined by launderettes that ran everything at 60°C because sorting takes time nobody was paying for.
The whole business is built on the opposite bet: that people will pay a fair price for laundry done properly, and that doing it properly means reading the label, sorting by hand, and employing finishers who know what a vacuum board is for.
Today we run 14 vans across 56 central London postcodes, wash around four tonnes a week, and hold 340 trade accounts. Everything still goes through the same plant, and every order is still photographed at collection, at packing and at delivery.

We read the label
Every item is checked before it is sorted. Hand-wash stays hand-wash, even when the machine would be quicker.
Detergent you could drink
Almost. Biodegradable, phosphate-free and fragrance-free as standard. Our water is recycled through a three-stage filter.
We own our mistakes
£500 cover on every order, and a policy of paying out rather than arguing. It happens rarely, and we would rather fix it than win.
