Terms of service

Last updated 1 September 2026.

1. Who we are

LonDry is a concept project by The Branding Bards, a design studio in London. It is not a trading company, holds no registration, and provides no laundry service. These terms are written as the terms a service like this one would need — they are part of the design, and bind nobody.

2. Booking and pricing

Prices shown on this site include VAT at 20%. Weight-based services are quoted from the estimate you give at booking and charged on the actual weight recorded on calibrated scales when your order reaches our plant. If the real weight is lower than your estimate, we refund the difference. If it is higher, we charge the difference and tell you before we do.

A minimum order value of £15 applies. Collection and delivery are free on orders over £25 and £3.99 otherwise.

3. Collection and delivery

We collect and deliver in two-hour windows. If nobody is available at the address, we follow the access instructions you gave at booking. If we cannot collect, we will contact you to rebook; a failed collection may be charged at £5.

Same-day service requires a collection window starting at or before 10am and is only available on services marked as same-day eligible. If we miss the promised same-day return through our own fault, the same-day surcharge is refunded automatically.

4. Your items

Please empty pockets and remove anything valuable before collection. We are not liable for items left in pockets. Tell us about existing damage, loose buttons or unusual fabrics in the notes when you book.

We follow the care label. Where a label is missing, illegible or plainly wrong for the fabric, we use our professional judgement and treat the item at our discretion.

5. Liability

Every order carries £500 of cover. Claims must be raised within seven days of delivery. Compensation is assessed on the item's age and condition, in line with the Textile Services Association guidelines, and is capped at ten times the cleaning charge for that item unless you declared a higher value in writing before collection.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge from your account at any time before the order is collected. Once an order has been collected it is in process and cannot be cancelled online — nothing is actually collected, so there is nothing to stop.

7. Complaints

There is no service to complain about. For anything to do with the project itself, reach The Branding Bards through the portfolio page.
